Calculator entries
Start times, end times, break lengths, and requested paid hours are submitted to the server so the calculator can return a result. The application does not place those entries in a database or create a user account.
Theme preference
The site may use browser local storage to remember whether you selected the light or dark theme. This preference stays in your browser and can be removed by clearing site data.
Hosting and security logs
Like most websites, the hosting platform and web server may create operational logs containing information such as an IP address, browser type, requested URL, response status, and timestamp. These logs may be used for security, reliability, and troubleshooting.
Anonymous usage and performance analytics
This site uses Amazon CloudWatch Real User Monitoring to measure page visits, browser performance, JavaScript errors, and failed web requests. The calculator also records whether the hours-worked calculator or clock-out planner completed successfully. Start times, end times, break lengths, paid-hour values, and calculation results are not included in these custom analytics events.
The current CloudWatch RUM configuration does not allow the RUM client to create its optional user or session cookies. Analytics events may still contain technical information automatically supplied by the browser and hosting network, such as page path, browser and device characteristics, approximate location, and performance timing.
Cookies and advertising
The calculator itself does not currently require an account, CloudWatch RUM cookie, or advertising cookie. If advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads based on visits to this site or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to personalize ads where permitted. Visitors can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Additional information about Google's data use is available in Google's partner-sites policy.
Consent choices
If advertising or analytics technologies are added, the site may display consent and privacy controls where required by applicable law or advertising-platform policy.
